- How long has CareMaster been in business? Since 1985.
- What
is CareMaster, Inc.? CareMaster offers; the ClaimMaster software product,
the CareMaster Physician Practice Management System and customized IT
consulting, systems design and development.
- What
is the CareMaster objective? CareMaster is a provider advocate, whose
sole objective is to reduce receivable time for providers by using technology
to eliminate technical errors commonly committed by providers during the
billing process.
- What
is ClaimMaster? ClaimMaster is the software that performs a scrubbing
or validation process for a provider's current billing system.
- How
many current clients do they handle claims for? In excess of 500 physicians
and service providers.
- What
are the anticipated results of making this change to my receivables?
Many ClaimMaster clients see their average DSO drop thirty days from their
previous experience.
- I
have a current Practice Management System (PMS)/Health Information System
(HIS) and don't want to change; will I be required to change? No,
CareMaster will build a custom interface that matches with your current
system.
- How
is this interface accomplished? The provider forwards to CareMaster
a print image from their existing system, or an electronically standard
format. CareMaster takes that data and aligns to it. The software sent
to client will then have this interface included.
- If
I'm currently using a clearinghouse for batching my claims, will I be
required to use the CareMaster clearinghouse? Yes, to assure providers
that their claims won't be lost, the clearinghouse must track them. CareMaster
has never lost a claim in its years of operation since 1985.
- If
a payer represents that transmission of a claim was never received, who
takes responsibility for this? CareMaster will notify and prove to
the payer when transmission occurred and will forward another copy to
eliminate the excuses and delay. The provider isn't required to do anything
unless notified by the carrier.
- How
often is the ClaimMaster software updated to reflect the payer edits?
CareMaster updates its software every time an edit is identified. The
provider's software is updated the next time connection is made to CareMaster.
- What
is the percentage of ClaimMaster's accuracy for technical errors?

- What
is the price of ClaimMaster? On request CareMaster will provide you
with sample contract that will include a quote.
- How
do I pay CareMaster? At the end of every month CareMaster will identify
the claim count it handled and bill the provider, invoice must be paid
within 30 days net.
- What
are the system requirements? Windows Operating System (any version Win95 through
Windows Vista) with recommended
memory and disk storage.
